First and foremost I would like to thank those of you who have sent you love while I was in the Hospital again this past week. All is well and I’m home editing the new material that Wade finished up.

We certainly have a legendary CD here in our hands. The song topics are just mind blowing! The music is by far the best I’ve ever written. The guitar tone is awesome and the lead guitar tone is just sick. More than 12 songs completed by Wade, and some other oddities I’ve penned as well.Lots of brutal riffs and of course my lead guitar work is light years above anything of the past.

I’ve been hard at work getting to a new level of expertie in m playing these past few years since the Anthrax reunion ended. I’m actually working on Classical Guitar a lot these daysas well for something special in the future. Of course my Southern Rock and Blues based memorable lead guitar stories will play a large role in DeuxMonkey. There’s a bit of everything for everyone to enjoy here for sure. DeuxMonkey certainly has its own identity. The hardest thing for me was to achieve this goal.

Wade has been a trooper ! He has come through the recording process with flying colors. He’s been known to completely finish two songs in a day, including learning from scratch lots of material. Un-Freakin’ Believable! !!! His Opera voice training certainly has payed off in this case. I’ve never witnessed anything like it. So very talented.

I’ll be tying up some loose ends with Peter Baltes and off to the Mega Producer’s SSL for the Mixing, who I will be announcing shortly as well. We are in the best of hands for Mixing anywhere on planet earth.

Again, thank you all for the wonderful emails and concerns regarding my health. Tentative summer tour already planned leading into global touring. We’ll let the music do the talking. Just know I’m glad to have a guitar in my hands each day and my passion for my instrument and this band is really deep. I will not stop playing and touring ever again.

Happy Holidays to all !

So I’m sitting here thinking it’s time to update the progress of our hard work at the recording studio and a whole lot more that’s in store for 2010. We have completed all the drum tracks at “The Barn” studio right before Christmas. On schedule for what we had planned. I must say Patrick is one phenomenal drummer to witness under the microphones. With a diligence of no compromise he pounds away double bass drum beats that match my picking technique in perfect execution. It really is a fantastic feeling to have found such a wonderful person, as well as such a perfect match for thrashing. I remember seeing Patrick play with Yngwie sitting on a paint bucket and he simply struck me as one sick Swedish boy.

I have to head to New York for the first pre-production of a HUGE Rock Musical I have committed to doing. I’ll be a main character / guitarist. It will eventually travel arena size venues around the globe. The story is written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Robert Shenkkan and the show is put on by my lifelong friend, and of course Mr. Broadway, Neil Berg. He’s done “Grumpy Old Men” and so many other Productions that are incredible hits. It’s called “The 12″ and the story has Biblical ties told through the band and its music. So far we are at 15 songs, with some of Broadway’s biggest stars aboard. The first show will be sometime in April at an arena in Florida. There will be a few showcases in the interim to fine tune at smaller venues. You are ALL invited to this one at the China Club in N.Y.C. on January 10th. Free admission as far as I am aware. The full time touring will start the following year. I’ll keep you all posted.

Upon return from pre-production I’ll start guitar tracking and we’ll start the vocal process with Wade at another studio. Peter is very excited as well to get this one under his belt. He’s very busy with the Accept reunion duties and upcoming touring schedules, but can’t wait to get on tour with DeuxMonkey as well.

The songs got faster and heavier in the studio. I’m just so very excited to have taken the break in my life to regroup my passion and thirst for my art. I’m playing guitar constantly now and fine tuning my skill set to a new level I’ve never ever dreamed of. Starting the ride all over and planning a world touring schedule to boot feels just like the “Fistful of Metal” days in Ithaca, N.Y.. I remember Scott and I stuck in the cold winter studio sessions all alone for months and months hoping to finish up and get on the road. I feel the same way right now. So glad Mustaine said “play, Spitz”.

Both Candi and I have received countless emails, blessings and so many offers for future endeavors regarding our Identical Twins, Brendan and Jaden, who have Autism. It is quite obvious the mission of my musical art will tie together with bringing a more global awareness of what we going through as a family. I want to thank everyone who has contacted us. I also want to thank all the companies who are helping and in for the long haul.

Brendan and Jaden are doing great. No therapist (we have 5 here weekly) could figure out a way to teach them words, the alphabet and so forth. Enter the IPod Touch with apps for learning. Like a crack head with a fresh new bag and pipe they are not only spelling, but they have gone online and bought their own apps. They tell us they have never seen this happen before. LOL.Brilliant!

See you in N.Y.C. !

For all our fans who have been inquisitive regarding when we will be entering the recording studio. . . .

The time has come to let you all know that we are now ready to enter the studio to start tracking. We will start momentarily tracking what I think is just the sickest most wicked Thrash Metal riffs I’ve written to date. If you were a fan of the “Among The Living” era songs I co-wrote you will certainly want to grab hold of what we all have in store with the new band. A movement forward in time with creative new guitar sounds. I’ll certainly have some video footage coming from our sessions to put up on the sites so all can watch the progression.

After the end of my last touring cycle with Anthrax I needed a long brake to take care of our Identical twins Brendan and Jaden who were diagnosed with Autism. I certainly couldn’t leave Candi (my wonderful Wife) to deal with the daily grind of multiple therapists at the house. We are on a better track now with them and at a point where the recording and touring cycles can start.

Patrick and I have been hard at work in his Kiss room bringing to fruition some brutally fast riffs. His double bass feet seem connected to my picking in a way I can’t explain. I guess it was meant to be.

DeuxMonkey has progressed full steam into the band I have had in my minds eye for so very long. Bringing in Wade Black as our vocalist was just what we all needed. A vocalist who eats, sleeps and breathes METAL. I am confident that live we will be a musical team that our peers, fans and friends will be happy to watch create intense, intricate and creative expertise on a nightly basis.

Thank you all for your wonderful support of our band and please watch our myspace or band site for upcoming updates.

We are taking our Icon down and will be replacing it with a new design as soon as we can. It is quite an udertaking as it’s site wide use.

Thanks to all our friends at Blabbermouth for bringing this to the bands attention.
